All About Me

My name is Charlotte McConnell and I was born on February 27, 2000... almost on a leap day!!!! The year I was born in is pretty cool because whatever the year is that is my age, for example right now it is 2014 so I am 14.  I was born on Kauai in the state of Hawaii. I have lived on kauai all my life. My favorite things to do are drawing, painting my nails, baking/cooking, shopping and being with animals.

In my family I have one real brother, two step brothers, and two step sisters. I also have two cats and they are the loves of my life. I also have a fish tank but that doesn't really count as my family considering the fact that the fish die every 7 months.

I am super creative, fun, and blonde. My dream is to be famous one day because that would be awesome. I would like to be famous through acting in movies but so far that is just a dream, besides the fact that I act in theaters but thats different from being on a screen. OK that is all you need to know about me. Bye!

Polar Panoramas

These are my panoramas I finished using the steps below. These steps were similar to the steps of a Spherical panorama. First you take about ten photos that slightly overlap and merge them into a Panorama in photoshop. Then you shape the photo to be square and rotate it 180 degrees. Finally you apply a Polar filter to the image and edit the result until it looks natural.

Then to place myself in the final project I took a photo that was at an above angle so it captured the feeling that I was looking out from the world. Then using the quick selection tool, I selected myself and deleted all but me. I then made a copy for a shadow and turned the opacity up and the saturation down. Then I simply placed it in a realistic place.

Spherical Panos

These are two examples of my spherical panoramas that I made by putting some images I took together into a panorama and then edited them. Next I  resized them to be square and applied a polar filter. Finally I edited them by feathering the edges using the elliptical marquee tool and added a background.

Photomontage Final

Here are two of my finished photomontages that were inspired by David Hockney who first called them joiners. I used a digital camera, adobe camera raw, and photoshop to put this together. It was an interesting and unique process where we took a lot of different pictures that overlapped and then placed them where they generally looked like they would go.

Magazine Cover

This is my magazine cover I finished in fall 2013 at Kapaa Middle School. I used photoshop and made a contour with color then added text layers with customized fonts. Then I made backgrounds for the fonts and turned the opacity down.
